Well its almost time to move on. We have been here since Dec. 29 and have been planning to leave after Mardi Gras celebrations are through. The forecast for the next couple days doesn't look to promising, so we may get rain on our parades. I guess we shouldn't complain after seeing the weather in other parts of the country.
One nice thing being here for the time we have is meeting new people. We have had some of the nicest neighbors. We had some nice chats with Bill and Dottie from Illinois. They had nice stories of working for Habitat for Humanity. We were sad to see them go.

Then new neighbors Bob and Dutchie from Indiana came in. They were former fulltimers and worked in some of the Escapee parks. They have so much information and experiences we should be writing them all down.
Saturday we had quite a day with them. We went to a Mardi Gras parade, that was somehow delayed. We sat for almost 2 hours waiting. If not for going with them and having such nice conversation the wait would have frustrated us terrible.
We then stopped for a nice catfish and burger dinner at the Fish River Grill and ended with them teaching us a new card game. It was nice as this is just the stuff we miss from our friends and family back home.

I told him we had joined our Excel club from WI. and for a time were the only couple working fulltime. It was a bit awkward at first but after getting to know them we had some great times and didn't think about the age thing.
Another thing I think comes from vacations and time spent with my grandfather. He was the ultimate storyteller and you tended to learn to be a good listener with him. My family will back me on that.
Today we went to Daphne to watch the Loyal Order of the Firetruck parade. This one had homemade floats and a lot of kids on the floats. It rained alittle before the start and when we were driving away after the parade.

Happy Mardi Gras!
Looks like so much fun! We know what you mean about being the youngsters in some of these parks ;)
